Blog Design Team Challenge Fancy Fold Card

Hey there my fellow crafters! I hope you are all having a wonderful week and have an even better weekend. Today I will be creating yet another fancy fold card that will blow your mind! The simplicity of this card makes it super fun to create.  To begin, I started with a 8.5 by 11 cardstock. I cut that cardstock in half to make two card bases. This will make two cards which is always a great way to build your card stash. Once I had my cardstock cut, I scored at 2” and 6.5”.  I used a nesting die...

Design Team Color Throw Down Challenge, Oh Happy Day Bee Card

Continuing our month long “color throw down challenge”, I have created a card using only shades of pink, orange, and brown on a white card base. The honeycomb background is a set of stacked die cuts that I found at a yard sale! The top layer doesn’t cut the best (the edge tears in one small spot). So in the spirit of "use what you got", I covered the flaw up with the sentiment strip and no one is the wiser. Blog Design Team Color Throwdown Challenge Faith, Hope and Peace

Hello, my crafty friends! How are you all? I hope well. Today I wanted to create a card that would go a bit out of my comfort zone (I know, I kind of do this all the time). I am not the best at coloring with Alcohol markers but Nuvo alcohol makes it so super easy to color. The newest stamp set is a blast to color. I have been looking forward to it since I first saw it. Hope you are inspired to create your own version of this card by viewing this card! Make sure to watch the...

Blog Design Team Color Throw Down Challenge- Snowflake Distress Ink Watercolor

Snowflake card, Distress Ink Painting Background Continuing our month long “color throw down challenge”, I have created a background using distress inks as watercolors in shades of pink and orange. I then added a sentiment in chocolate brown. I love finding ways to stretch my supplies, so using distress inks as anything other than ink blending or stamping is a big plus for me. Hope you will try it out! All you need is a couple of inexpensive paint brushes, your distress inks, and some water. Supplies Neenah Bright White Cardstock 65lb card base Watercolor paper card front Fancy Flurries...
