This fun masculine birthday card is for the August Instagram Design Team Challenge for Maymay Made It.
The card base is 4.25 x 5.5”. I began with the MMI moon stamp and stamped half of a face on him so he would look like he was facing the side. I have found that the moon which comes in the Maymay Made It Friendly Faces stamp set can be used for other shapes. I did use the moon in the sky but I also used the moon shape for the boat. I easily fussy cut both and shaded the boat with my Copic markers. The sentiment is made combining a couple of Maymay’s stamp sets – the Big Time Sayings set and the God’s Blessings set. I stamped the larger sentiment and heat embossed the smaller one. The background stars in the sky are made using an acrylic paint splatter technique. This card was lots of fun to make for the masculine birthday card challenge! -Maranda
