Countdown To Christmas Card

Hi Everyone Happy Wednesday To You!

We are creating a really cute Christmas card. (never to early to start right?)

We are using two stamp sets, Cozy Snowman Wishes and also Deck The Halls. I created my own background paper for this card.

I created some tags using the Deck The Halls stamp set:

And also a card using just the Deck The Halls stamp set (please ignore the ink smudge :)

Hopefully you can see the versatility of the Deck the Halls stamp set.

Alright, let's talk about the main card and what I used:

Here are the supplies:

Cardstock

Red Cardstock: 8.5 x 5.5 (score at 4.25)
Red Cardstock: 2.5x 4.75
White Cardstock: 2 at 4 x 5.25 and 1 at 2.25 x 4.5

Cozy Snowman Wishes Stamp

Deck The Halls Stamp

Art Glitter Glue

Mini Misti

Foam Squares

Spectrum Noir Markers:

Pear Green, Cream, Nectarine, Pearl Blue, Lipstick

Black Memento Ink

Bone Folder

Red Ink

1 1/4 Scallop Circle Punch

1 3/8 Circle Punch

Here is the how to:

Using the bone folder, crease the card to create the card base. Stamp the two snowmen from the Snowman Wishes stamp, with the black ink, on the smaller white piece. I stamped them both toward the outer edge, trying to have their hands at the same level. Color in using markers.

Using a red ink, stamp Countdown to Christmas in the top middle of this piece. Adhere to the smaller red using Art Glitter Glue. Set aside.

For the numbers: I used the 1 1/4 scallop circle punch on a white cardstock scrap. I place it under the cover of the Misti. Lined up the numbers on the Misti tool lid to make sure they fit inside the scallop. Used black ink to ink the numbers, stamped on another scrap of white cardstock and punched it out. Taking a larger circle punch, I used that with the red cardstock, to create a layer. I adhered the white to the red using foam squares. Set aside.

To create my own background paper, I used a holly and berries from the Deck the Halls stamp set, and stamped along the outer edge of one of the 4 x 5.25 white cardstock. I colored in the holly using the Pear Green marker. Adhered this to the card front using Art Glitter Glue. I glued the snowman piece toward the top of this piece and adhered the numbers piece to it, trying to make it look like the snowman are holding the numbers.

For the inside, I used the same holly and berries and stamped it on the bottom right corner (coloring in) and adhered to inside. And wala, we have a finished card.

You can see the video tutorial for this card here!

Hope all of you have a Wonderful Wednesday. Hugs, Stacy ♥

This card is adorable. I really liked your ideas on using the “Deck the Halls Stamp”. I like this stamp set so you’ve helped me think outside my box. Thank you.
