Twist Pop Up Card the Easiest Way I Could Figure Out!

I wanted to make this card easy for all of us, no rulers or pencil marks to erase later, only score marks to work with.  I hope you enjoy making this one and I promise, once you make it once you will be hooked!

The measurements are:

Mechanism card stock 8 1/2 inch by 10 3/4 inch

scored at:

2 1/4, 4 1/4 and 6 1/4 on the short side

on the long side score at 3 7/8, 5 3/8 and 6 7/8.

The strip for the pop out panel measures 3 inches by 11 inches.

Scored at 2 3/4, 5 1/2 and 8 1/4 inches.

Mats for the pop out panel are 2 3/4 by 2 1/2 inches.

Inside mats for card base on the mechanism piece are 3 3/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches before trimmed into the angle at the top.

Lastly, you will need and A2 card base, 4 1/4 inches by 11 scored at 5 1/2.

Supplies used are linked in the video description.

…and I MADE IT! You made this simple, even I can do it. This is one card that will be made often :-) It is bookmarked, as well as downloaded via RealPlayer to flash drive to share when friends have get togethers to paper craft. Then we can all follow step by step, even where there’s no internet!

Thanks so very much, you are a splendid teacher!

Wow! May May you absolutely made this card so easy to follow. I had seen the one with all the measurements and lines and actually made a prototype to use for making the card. It was really complicated and not fun! But your video followed the hard one and I was amazed. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise. I cannot wait to make these for different occasions. 😀

I have been making cards for a long time. the first time I saw this was on another site and the I searched for an easy way to do it and found your site and made it. The person I gave it to h was thrilled. I wanted to make it again and forgot which site I used, the one I used was very difficult . I spent about 3 hours to just trying to make the mechanics work. Then I remembered your site and now I have already made 5 of family and friends. It took me about 20 minutes to do the first one. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Betty Hoffman

I’m new at card making. I just love your videos !!! You make it so easy to understand, how you go through each section so even a novice like me can do it. I want to thank you for that. If I can can make this card -took longer for me than you on this video – but I did it. I would have love to take a pic of it and show you, but I don’t know how to do that either. Haha.

I love your videos! But, I think your score marks on the long side 10 3/4" side are incorrect. I think they should be 3 3/8, 5 3/8, and 7 3/8. I’ve ruined several pieces of card stock and watched this video over and over. Help please

I have followed your Twist Pop Up card tutorial more times than I can count and still can’t get the thing to work. What weight paper are you using for the “white” and “red” paper? I can get everything cut and when I go to glue the strips together, there is no twisting! I’m gluing them correctly…I can’t see what I’m doing wrong. Can you help?
