Twist Pop Up Card the Easiest Way I Could Figure Out!

I wanted to make this card easy for all of us, no rulers or pencil marks to erase later, only score marks to work with.  I hope you enjoy making this one and I promise, once you make it once you will be hooked!

The measurements are:

Mechanism card stock 8 1/2 inch by 10 3/4 inch

scored at:

2 1/4, 4 1/4 and 6 1/4 on the short side

on the long side score at 3 7/8, 5 3/8 and 6 7/8.

The strip for the pop out panel measures 3 inches by 11 inches.

Scored at 2 3/4, 5 1/2 and 8 1/4 inches.

Mats for the pop out panel are 2 3/4 by 2 1/2 inches.

Inside mats for card base on the mechanism piece are 3 3/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches before trimmed into the angle at the top.

Lastly, you will need and A2 card base, 4 1/4 inches by 11 scored at 5 1/2.

Supplies used are linked in the video description.

I love the twisted cards you made. I have made the snowman, but when I try to do the easier method I am totally confused. There are too many videos to follow. Not sure where to find the proper measurements. I have copied two so far and nothing makes sense to me. Is there anyway to follow these instructions all at once? Ive been searching forever to find them, then when I do they are different measurements. I can’t even describe what I’m trying to explain! Totally confused!

Hi MAymay,
I really like the twist pop-up card. My first attempt was wrong measurement using the 8 half and 10 three quarter inch card stock. So, I tried again using the normal A4 paper size, using metric and it worked well! The measurements only varied slightly.
Thank you ! I enjoy making it.

Thanks for the easier directions. I watched another and didn’t want to be bothered it looked hard. I am attempting a Halloween card for one of my last local recipients. Then onto Christmas. After I have finished I will send you a link to my blog. Thanks again, Lacey

I love your southern accent! My Moma was from Mississippi. Did this type of pop up card at Stampin Up club. BUT…needed your pause able instructions to make it on my own. It turned out a little wonkie because I had trouble following your very clear instructions. Retired person brain, I think. Lets just say, it pops and folds in on itself, so I consider it a sucess. Will try it again for the snowman. Appreciate your clarity!
