Bee Yourself Card | Layer It Up Challenge

The Bee's Knees Stamp Set is perfect for creating cards for many different occasions. The fun and uplifting sentiments are sure to put a smile on someone's face. I decided to use the 2" scallop punch for the sentiment and the bee, adding another layer to the card.  The honeycomb stamp is a great way to create a bright and cheery background. I used Tombow Dual Brush Pens to create tiny red dots and circled them with a black gel pen to enhance the background. CLICK HERE to see the full tutorial. Here's what you'll need! Just for You Gift Tag | Layer It Up Challenge

For this month's Layer It Up Challenge, I decided to make these adorable tags using the Tag Builder and Sunflower Wishes Stamp Sets. Creating gift tags are one of my favorite paper crafting activities. I used my Tombow Dual Brush Pens to add color. Layer It Up Challenge Holiday Card

I love layering cards! It just gives so much dimension and really makes the card pop. You can always find something to add layers to whether it's the sentiment or the image. For this card I decided to do 3 layers using the teapot as the focal point. One of my favorite crafty items is mounting tape.  The BEST part is that you can do the layering technique with just about any stamp set. I hope you give it a try. I used my blending tool and Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Blueprint Sketch) to transform white cardstock into a deep shade of blue. Both the Ginger Fred and Vinnie's Fav Stamp Sets were perfect for making my winter scene. With the second card, I used more distress ink to get a deeper shade of blue. The snow-capped gingerbread house was colored using Tombow Dual Brush Pens in brown and red.  Click Here for full tutorial! ***Supplies Used*** Ginger Fred Stamp Set Vinnie's Fav Stamp Set Card Base -...

Blog DT Challenge | Emboss Like a Boss

Creating this card was definitely outside of my comfort zone, but I absolutely loved learning something new. I used the eraser of a pencil to make the polka dot pattern. It looks great against the navy blue cardstock. I see why so many paper crafters love heat embossing.  I decided to emboss using VersaMark Ink, Nuvo Embossing Powder, and my heating tool.  Thanks to a few tips from my crafty friends I was able to create these lovely cards.  CLICK HERE for the tutorial!  ***Supplies Used*** VersaMark Ink  Nuvo Fine Detail Embossing Powder - Gold Thankful Grateful Blessed Stamp Set ...
