Layer It Up Blog Challenge | Coffee Gift Card Holder

Hi Everyone, Happy Wednesday.

Today I have a fun and easy gift card holder that is perfect this time of year. Great for all those coffee lovers on your list!

Now, this card doesn't open like a "normal" card, only the top flap opens which reveals a pocket for the gift card.

Here are the supplies I used:

Cardstock

Brown Base: 8.5 x 5.5 (score at 4.25) (plus scrap)
Pink Layers: 3.75 x 3.25 & 3.75 x 1.5 (plus scrap)
White Layers: 3.5 x 3 & 3.5 x 1.25 & 4 x 5.25

Cuppa Cuppa Stamp

Patina Stamp

Art Glitter Glue

Foam Squares

Brown & Pink Ink

Cricut Trimmer

Bone Folder

Here is how I made it:

First, use the bone folder along with the cricut trimmer and score the card base at 4.25. Turn the card base so the 5.5 inch is at the top edge of trimmer. Line up the left side of the card base at 3 5/8 and cut down to the score mark to create the flap.

See image below:

Use the brown ink, with the coffee image from the Patina stamp set, stamp all over the front of the card base. (I stamped off first so it wasn't so dark). Set aside. Using the Cuppa Cuppa stamp, again with brown ink, stamp the coffee bean image all over the (3.5 x 3) white card stock, set aside. Use the same ink and image and stamp 3 coffee beans on the (4 x 5.25) white card stock on the upper right corner. For the greeting, (3.5 x 1.25) white card stock, stamp the coffee stain image (Patina Stamp) with brown on the left side and the greeting "a cup of cheer on me" (Cuppa Cuppa Stamp) with pink ink on the right side. I also stamped more coffee beans on the right side of the greeting.

With Art Glitter Glue, adhere the (3.75 x 3.25) pink card stock on the top half of the card base front and the (3.75 x 1.5) pink card stock on the bottom half of the card base front. Adhere the stamped white coffee bean layer on top of the pink. Use foam squares to attach the greeting on top of the pink bottom.

Using the pink and brown scraps, with brown ink, stamp the coffee cup image on the brown and the coffee sleeve on the pink. (With the pink, I used my trimmer and scored about every 1/4 inch-do this before stamping) Cut the images out. Adhere the pink sleeve on the coffee cup. Attach foam squares to the back and and place on coffee bean layer on front of card. Adhere the (4 x 5.25) stamped white card stock on the inside of the card. On the back side of the front, apply glue to sides and bottom of flap, adhere to the white inside piece to create the pocket.
