IG Alumni DT Project Created by Candace Gillespie

Autumn is my absolute favorite season and it is fast approaching so here is a little something to help us get excited about this beautiful time of year.

Supplies Used:

- MMI Stamp Sets, “Fall Stitched Up”

                                and “The Envelope Please”
- Versafine Black Onyx Ink
- StāzOn Jet Black Ink
- Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
-  Mini Ink Blending Tool
- Stitched Rectangle Dies
- Art Glitter Glue
- Scotch Foam Tape
- Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 Set Watercolors
- Round Paint Brushes
- Tonic Studio / Tim Holtz Stamp Platform

Process:

I started by die cutting two white card panels with my 4 x 5.25 Stitched Rectangle die. Next I put a layer of blue watercolor paint over them. These are my backgrounds for the outside and inside of this card.
I loaded the large envelope from MMI’s stamp set, “The Envelope Please” in my Stamp Platform and inked it with Versafine Black Onyx Ink and stamped it onto white cardstock. Before folding and gluing it I distressed all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, then glued the bottom portion closed leaving the top unfolded and not glued. This is where I plan on adding all my leaves.
Speaking of leaves, I stamped out a bunch and very loosely added watercolor to them. Once they dried I fussy cut them out. Using foam tape and the famous Art Glitter Glue I placed them all inside the envelope and even folded one out and glued it over the front edge of the envelope. Once they were all in place I glued the envelope to the front of the card.
On a stamped out pumpkin from MMI’s stamp set, “Fall Stitched Up”, I loosely added some watercolor then went in when it was dry an added some stripes to give it some detail. When it was completely dry, using StāzOn, I stamped out the sentiment over it. Why StāzOn? For some reason, the Versafine didn’t want to set up on the watercolored surface so StāzOn it was! I fussy cut the pumpkin and adhered it down with some foam tape. Lastly, I folded down some edges and further distressed them with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and that completes the outside.
For the inside, I masked off a part of another sentiment so my inner sentiment only read, “in all seasons.” Then I stamped a leaf over it, making sure to wipe the edge clear of ink where it would be stamped over my sentiment. Then I lightly and loosely added some watercolor to the leaf.
There you have it! A festive card for any season... we’ll, season of life, that is 😆😘.
Thank you so much for stopping by the Maymay Made It blog! I hope you have been inspired to make some Fall creations!
Happy crafting, crafty friends!
