Shaker Card using Tulle This technique is a lot easier than it looks. Tulle is used instead of acetate and gives it a very feminine look. Sequins are sandwiched between two layers of tulle and red line double sided tape holds the sequins were you want them. My Mom has been gone for over ten years but I always think of her around her birthday. I created this card in her honor and I know she would have loved this. Today's card is for the Maymay Made It design team challenge... and it's all about shaker cards!! I began with a 4.25 x 5.5" card base. I made a smaller striped panel using masking tape and Distress Ink. I die cut a circle in the striped panel. For my shaker window, I used a clear overhead projector transparency sheet and adhered it on the backside of the panel. Then, I sealed around the shaker window with foam tape to pop it up. This allows the shaker elements space to move. I paper pieced the gingerbread girl and glued her down...

I love shaker cards. They add a fun interactive element and can add a lot of elegance!Supplies used:- MMI stamp sets, “Blessings” and “Memory Lane.” - Versamark Ink for embossing- Gold embossing powder- Nuvo- Foam Tape- Circle dies-Darice- Acetate- heat gun- sequins, sea beads, etcProcess:Step 1: die cut the circle out of card panel. Glue acetate to underside covering the die cut circle opening.
