Stationery Box Gift Set

 

You guys asked for this tutorial and I hope you find it easy to follow and answers your questions.  This project has been made a good bit on youtube and blogs so you may want to do a search around to see other inspiration for the box as well.

There are lots of cuts and measurements.  I am going to list them here as simply as I can.  If you make this project like eating an elephant (one bite at a time, lol) you will be successful.

Cuts, Measures and Scores

Base of the box: 10 x 12 inch cardstock, scored on the 10 inch side at 3/4, 2, 8 and 9 1/4 inches. Turn and score the 12 inch side at 5 and 7 inches.

Large card divider:  8 1/2 x 4 1/4 cardstock, scored on the 8 1/2 inch side at 1 1/4, 7 1/4 turn an score on the 4 1/4 inch side at 3 inches.

Note card divider:  5 1/2 x 2 inch cardstock scored at 1/2, 1, 4 1/2, 5 inches.

Tag divider:  4 1/2 x 2 inch cardstock, scored at 1/2, 1, 3 1/2 and 4 inches.

Box Lid:  6 1/8 x 10 1/8 cardstock, scored on the 6 1/8 side at 2 and 4 1/8, on the 10 1/8 inch side score at 2 and 8 1/8 inch.

Notebook:  6 1/8 x 3 1/2 inch cardstock, scored on the 6 1/8 inch side at 3 1/8 and 3 1/4 inces.

Notebook pages: 3 1/2 ( a bit shy of that) x 6 inch printer paper.

Stamp Pocket:  3 x 2 inch cardstock, scored at 1/2 and 2 1/2 inches, turn and score at 1 1/2 inches.

Cards for inside of the pockest dimensions:

A2 Greeting cards are 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 when folded, the back pocket will hold 6 to 8 with envelopes.

Notecards are 3 x 3 when folded and it will hold 6 to 8 of them with envelopes.

Tags are 3 1/2 by 2 3/8 and it will hold 6 to 8 of them.

Mats

Back, front, inside flap and inside pocket (back) mat:  4 3/4 x 5 3/4 (qty 4)

Back sides: 1 x 4 3/4 (qty 2)

A2 Card Divider mat:  5 3/4 x 2 3/4 (qty 1)

Notecard Divider mat:  1 3/4x 3 1/4 (qty 1)

Tag divider mat:  1 3/4 x 2 1/4 (qty 1)

Front sides:  1 3/4 x 4 3/4 (qty 4)

Lid

Top Mat:  1 7/8 x 5 7/8 (qty 1)

Lid front and back 1 3/4 x 5 7/8 (qty 2)

Lid sides 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 (qty 2)

To make assembly and decorator card stock placing easier I made myself a "template box."  I just used some simple card stock and created the project so that I could use it for reference and write my mat measures directly on the template.  I feel that will make future projects easier, especially since I plan to make these as Christmas gifts, it will give me a quick reference.
