Mermaid Gatefold Card | Layer It Up

Hi Everyone, Happy Wednesday! Today I want to share a fun layered gatefold card with you!

This is such a fun card to make!

Here is what it looks like when opened:

Here is what I used:

Cardstock

Card Base: 8.5 x 5.5 (score at 2 1/8 each end)
Front Blue Layer: 4 3/4 x 3
White Inside: 4 x 5.25
White Panels: 4 @ 1 7/8 x 5.25
White Smaller Panel: 1 3/8 x 4.5
White Front Layer: 4.5 x 2.75

Sea-Lestial Stamp Set

Art Glitter Glue

Blue & Brown Ink

Mini Misti

Foam Squares

Cricut Trimmer

Bone Folder

Here is how you make it:

Take the card base, use a bone folder and Cricut trimmer to score at 2 1/8 each end. Crease on score marks, set aside.

On two of the (1 7/8 x 5.25) white panels, use blue ink and all of the water drops from the stamp. With the same ink and stamp, stamp the smaller inside (1 3/8 x 4.5) white piece. Stamp all over these three panels. Take both starfish from the stamp, with brown ink and stamp the other two (1 7/8 x 5.25) white panels. With the Art Glitter Glue, adhere the 2 larger water panels on the outside front of card, and the starfish panels on the inside. Set aside the smaller panel.

For the inside (4 x 5.25) white panel, stamp water drops on the lower right corner. I used the Mini Misti to line up the (We Mermaid For Each Other) greeting on the inside, stamped with brown ink. Also with brown ink, stamp the mermaid from the stamp set on the (4.5 x 2.75) white front layer.

Place glue on one half of the blue (4.75 x 3) front layer. Adhere to left panel on the front of card. Using foam squares, adhere the mermaid piece to this layer. Once card is opened, glue the (1 3/8 x 4.5) stamped layer to inside left blue piece.

Hope you all have a Wonderful Wednesday. Hugs, Stacy
