Maymay’s Mintay Designer Michelle’s Hanging Heart

Hello! It’s Michelle .....I’ve created an easy Hanging Heart project that can be kept around through Valentine’s Day!

Supply List:

• 2” Heart Punches or (2 hand cut hearts with one 1/8” larger in diameter to allow for a border)
• Mintay Winterland Collection
• Stash Builder Stock - Crimson
• Sturdy Thread
• Bead
• Craft Glue such as Art Glitter Glue
•Brutus Monroe Glitter Stock Rainbow Collection
•Wooden Dowel for hanging
•Scotch Foam Tape

Instructions:
Step one: Punch or cut six heart and three 2-1/8” (Glitter Stock) and three 2”

Step Two: Score & fold all the hearts.

Step Three: Glue all of the glitter hearts 1/2 side at a time leaving the last side open. Make sure all sides are lined up as you go.

Step Four: Fold string and insert in crease of last glitter side that you left open as shown. Press and secure all sides.

Step Five: Glue all three 2” hearts inside of 2-1/8” Glitter Stock heart sides. Press and secure.

Step Six: Pull loop thread through bead on top of heart and secure with a drop of glue.

*** Instructions for scalloped trim: •Cut 1-3/4” x 12” strip •Draw or stencil 1-3/4” scallops •Cut Scallop lines out •Score and fold every 1/2”

I loaded 4 hearts per wooden dowel. I then lined shelf edge with two skinny rows of foam tape. I stuck three loaded dowels in a row on bottom row of foam tape. I then placed scalloped trim on top row of foam tape.

You can display the hanging hearts anyway you’d like. You could also use them as ornaments. They fold down nicely and can be tucked inside cards. I really hope that you enjoyed this project and will give it a try!
