Blog Design Team Color Throw Down Challenge
Posted by Stacy Williams on
Hi everyone, Happy Wednesday to you! Hopefully you are having a good day!
Today I want to share a really simple card with you, but also really pretty. I love simple cards that are pretty, simple and easy to make. This one definitely has all of that!
The design team this month was challenged to use three colors (brown, pink and orange). This was for sure a challenge for me as I don't use orange a whole lot unless it is for Fall! But I am really happy with how it turned out!
Here is a closer look at the greeting:
Here are the supplies I used:
Here is how I assembled the card:
Using the Cricut trimmer, score the card stock at 4.25 with the bone folder to make card base. Fold in half and set aside. Using the outline only of the flowers, ink one of the flowers with orange ink and the other flower with pink ink. Stamp all around the white (4 x 5.25) piece of card stock. This will be the front of the card. Follow that with the brown ink, and the stamp the 4 heart image all over the card. For the inside of the card, use the other white (4 x 5.25) piece of card stock. Stamp the same brown image in the lower right corner. Adhere these with Art Glitter Glue to the inside and outside of card base. Again, using brown ink, stamp the greeting on the smaller white (1 x 2) piece. Attach foam square to back, and adhere to brown layer. Glue to the front of the card.
Hope all of you have a Wonderful Wednesday. Hugs, Stacy ♥
