Christmas in July-Eat, Drink and Be Tacky

Good morning crafters! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. As you may be aware of, Maymay Made It Designers are all participating in Christmas in July. So in honor of that, we will be creating all Christmas cards during the month of July.

I had so much fun creating this card! I really started playing with the water color set, the colors, stitching and stamping.

I used many of my favorite supplies including:

I first started by stamping the sweater image and the raindeer onto my watercolor paper. I then colored them using my water color paints. I am so in love with water coloring at the moment. It is relaxing and oh so fun! Once I finished coloring, I fussy cut that sweater (this is such an easy fussy cutting image).

I really wanted to do something special to my card base. I decided to stamp a few of the images from the same stamp set onto the card base to create a unique background. I started with the border sweater image and then stamped the snow flakes, both using Onyx Black Versafine Ink.

Once I was done cutting, I simply put some 3M foam adhesives onto the back of my sweater and popped it right onto my A2 card base. I also stamped the sentiment “Eat, drink and Be Tacky” onto a Neenah white cardstock with Versafine ink. I then popped the sentiment as well.

I really hope you enjoyed this Christmas card. I am so excited to be sharing the others soon. Stay tuned!
