CAS Spring Card

Good afternoon y’all,

Since spring is upon us I thought I would share a clean and simple card that will grow on you as it comes together.

This is going to be a standard A2 size card. I first cut down some orange card stock and scored it to make it a top folding card. I went ahead and cut down a mat in green cardstock and one in white cardstock as well. I also went ahead and cut down a white cardstock for the inside of the card to. I then used my We R Memory Keepers corner rounder crop a dile punch to round the corners of the card base and all the mats as well.

For the inside of the card I used the bunny from the Hare Peeking stamp set and stamped it in the bottom right hand corner using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I then used some gray copic markers to color in the bunny’s body and face. I then used a pink altenew marker to color in the inside of his ears. Then I stamped out the large carrot and colored it in using Spectrum Noir Colorista markers. Next I used the me sentiment from the Oh Snap Friends stamp set by masking off the other elements in the stamp to get the me by itself on the inside of the card. Lastly I used my wink of stella marker to fill in the bunny’s belly to give him some bling.

The next thing I did was create some background paper using the white mat for the front of the card. I randomly stamped out the large carrot all over the cardstock and colored them in with the colorista markers. Then I randomly chose carrots and put some wink of stella on them to make them sparkle.

I then used some Versamark ink to stamp out the sentiment some bunny loves you from the Hare Peeking stamp set. Then I used some Nuvo glacier white embossing powder and heat set it on the green cardstock. I then used a Fiskars scalloped heart punch to punch out the sentiment. I then popped up the heart on some foam squares and placed it center on the background paper I made. I then took some greens satin ribbon and made a bow and placed it near the bottom of the card. Lastly I used my art glitter glue to adhere the mats together and also used some fun foam to add some dimension to the card and adhered it to the card base.

I carrot believe how cute the card came together as I was making it. Thank you all for joining me here today and to watch the tutorial please click here.

So cute! I like the triple border on the card front. I don’t know why I never think about making my own background pattern because this is terrific and so unique.
