Today I want to share a fun card that includes a separate bookmark.
The bookmark sits in a pocket behind the front layer of the card. Here is the bookmark:
I love that we have two things here without destroying anything. Often times, when we create something, the person we give it to has to destroy it to open it up or to see what is on the inside, not this time! They can enjoy the card and the bookmark.
Here is what I used:
Ink in purple, green and orange
Twine
Hole Punch
Here is how I did it:
Use the bone folder with the Cricut trimmer to score cardstock base at 4.25. Crease on score mark and set aside. Stamp the smaller feather from the Feathers stamp set in different colors on the one white 4 x 5.25 piece of cardstock. Set aside. On the smaller white (2.5 x 2.5) stamp the bird with black ink. Use the Mini Misti tool to line up the scripture for the bookmark from All In Love stamp set. Stamp with black ink. Stamp in another color ink the smaller leaf from the Feathers stamp set on opposite corners of white layer. Adhere this to the (2.5 x 5.25) layer to create the bookmark. Punch a hole in the top of this piece through both layers and tie ribbon or twine through it.
Use the Art Glitter Glue and apply to ONLY three sides of the white front layer. This will create a pocket for the bookmark to slide into. Adhere the bird piece the other (2.75 x 2.75) layer using foam squares. Glue this to the front of the card.
For the inside, stamp the same leaf from the Feathers stamp set in the same color used on bookmark in the bottom right corner. Adhere to inside of card.
