3D Lantern with Tea Light from a Die

Maymay had a fabulous idea, a 3D lantern made with dies. This lil lantern would make a great table decor or a beautiful ornament for special lighting on your Christmas tree. So gather up those supplies and let's create!

Supplies used:

Gina Marie Lantern dies set

Neenah Creative cardstock collection

Mini scoreboard

Stylus embossing tool

Vellum

battery operated tea light

Art glitter glue

Sticky tape

Measurements:

Lantern sides:

~ 4 lanterns cut out of brown cardstock

Construction strips:

~ 4 pieces of brown cardstock cut to 1/2" x 3 1/4" and scored 1/4" on the short side

Lantern windows:

~4 pieces of vellum cut to 2 3/8" x 3 1/4"

To assemble: glue the vellum to the backside of the lanterns. Be easy with the glue, it may show thru your vellum. Then you will take the construction strips and glue those the sides of the lantern, making sure that the scoreline is right up to the edge. Do that to all 4 lantern pieces on one side, then join the other sides to form the 3d project. See the video for assembly.

Please remember to head on over to our Facebook group, Maymay Made It and So Did I: a place to share your Maymay inspired projects.  We love to see your versions. You can also showcase your creations on the Customer Gallery, to show us what you are making with the products you have purchased from our store.
