Stuck on You Card DT Project by Jessica Francisco

Hello to everyone out there in Made It Land!

It's Jess and I'm back with another card tutorial for you! This week, I'm using one of my absolutely favorite Maymay sets - Stuck On You. This set is absolutely darling and I love how many ways there are to use it.

No photo description available.

To get started, I stamped out some of the cactus images and the aloe (I'm using as a scrubby bush for my card!) on to a piece of white card stock. I used my Mini MISTI for this so I could repeat the stamp for a perfect impression.

I cut a mask for each of my stamped images and covered them up so I could start working on my background. I decided to do some ink blending. I started with the ground. I hand cut a piece of card stock to use as a mask or stencil and then blended in hills for my plants to sit on.

Once I was happy with the ground, I moved on to the sky. I used a whole slew of colors to get a fun sunset in the desert sort of vibe. I used Distress Oxides in Antique Linen, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot. Phew, that's a lot of Oxides!

Once my background was finished, I peeled off my masks to reveal the stark white card stock beneath. I think that's my favorite part of masking! I got to work coloring the images with Copic markers and added a few gel pen highlights as well.

I treated the background with anti-static powder and then used my Mini MISTI to stamp the sentiment 'what a sticky situation... I forgot.' I used Brutus Monroe's Alabaster Embossing Powder and heat set it. To finish off the background, I used some watered down gesso and flicked it on to my background to create stars in the night sky. I thought this was the perfect finishing touch!

No photo description available.I mounted my card front on a piece of craft foam and adhered it to a white A2 sized card base. That finished off my card. I hope you love it and this card inspires you to create something today. Dust off one of your older stamp sets and get crafting!
