Spring Watercolor Card Tutorial DT Project created by Jess Francisco

Hey Friends,

It's Jess and I'm back with another card for Maymay Made It! Today's card features stamps from the Mandy's Tulips set. This set is so versatile - it can be used in so many different ways.

Supplies used:

Mandy's Tulips
Squeaky Clean Refill (4oz)
Squeaky Clean Dispenser
Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink

For today's card, I wanted a watercolor effect for my background. I too the layered images and inked them up, then spritzed them with a little water. I used my Mini MISTI to get my stamps in just the right spot each time. I love the soft look this gave the colors, rather than a crisp and clean stamped feel.

When I was happy with the background, I trimmed it down to 4in x 5.25in. I snagged some black card stock and heat embossed the longer sentiment in Alabaster Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. I mounted the sentiment on a little foam tape for dimension.

I added some coordinating ribbon and tied a cute little bow as well. I mounted my card front on my top-folding card base and finished the card off with a few clear sequins for a little bit of sparkle.

Are you still getting winter weather in your neck of the woods or has the Spring thaw started for you? Let me know in the comments!

Hugs and love,

Jess
