Measurements:

Rosette~ we start with 1 piece of 12x12 pattern cardstock ( tip, you will want to use cardstock and not a scrapbook or thinner paper). Take the 12x12 piece and cut it down to 3 strips that measure 3 1/4 x 12 inches.  Now you will score the entire strip at every 1 /2 inch across the entire strip. Once you have that done accordion pleat the strips.

** Next you will take a hole punch and punch holes across one end of the strips (see photo)

.* Next take the twine and thread it thru the entire strip, like you are doing a sewing basting stitch( see the photo)

* Gather to strip up by tugging gently on the twine and laying the rosette flat as you go, then tie a nice tight knot at the end.

You just made the rosette, without hot glue!!!!

Middle "star" layer~

** Cut 3 squares out of green cardstock that measures approx 3 1/2-4 inches. Glue these onto the rosette in a "star" like fashion. **tip: you can also use a pretty doily for this layer**

Background Scene~

We are using a 4-inch acrylic ornament half for the snowglobe

*Cut 1 circle that measures approx 4 inches from pattern paper for the background and cut 1 circle that is approx 4 inches out of white cardstock, to use for snow banks.

*stamp images, color, and fussy cut-out and add embellishments to create the scene.

*Next glue the background scene that you created to the acrylic ornament. you just created the snowglobe portion of the ornament!

** Now glue the ornament snowglobe to the rosette!

Decorate

We used 2 silver chenille stems to decorate around the snowglobe and ties a pretty bow to the top of the rosette snowglobe ornament.  We also used a 4-inch white circle and stamped a sentiment to glue to the back of the rosette.

I LOVE THE ROSETTE AND PLAN ON EIGHT OF THEM FOR FAMILY GIFTS.THEN PLAN ON SEVEN OF THE ONE WHERE YOU ROLL THE PAPER TO A CONE SHAPE. SORRY I CAN NOT THINK OF THE NAME OF THEM. I HAVE 15 COUPLES OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS MARRIED AND I MAKE FOR EACH FAMILY.

Hi Maymay,

I found one of your videos by accident a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Now, I can’t seem to get enough. You are a great instructor; so easy to follow, have such a pleasant voice, and make me laugh.
The videos have been so helpful. We have our house up for sale and have packed many of my tools. I convinced my husband to go to our storage shed and get some essentials. Your paper pack ideas have been a lifesaver for me this year.
Thank You and Merry Christmas,
Deb Holtschlag

I was going to watch this just for the rosette. I sat and watched the whole thing. That project is so cute! I love it and you are such an easy teacher to follow. Thank you for this video.
