I wanted to try my hand at this fun card, I have never made one before but I wanted to make it as easy as I could to recreate, hope this helps you guys too!~ Maymay
So gather up those supplies and let's create this Fancy Fold card!!!!!
Measurements/instructions:
Template~ start with a piece of paper cut to 3" x3". From the bottom right-hand corner take a ruler and measure in 5/8" and make a pencil mark. Then turn the paper and in the top left-hand corner make a mark down 5/8"
Card instructions~ Cut an A2 card base to create a side folding base. ** Next place your template in the upper right-hand corner of the front card panel, and trace with a pencil from the mark on the left side around to the mark at the bottom right side, Just to those marks, not the whole template sides. A good tip is to use multiple passes when cutting with a craft knife to get a cleaner cut edge.
** Now cut along those pencil lines, but do not go past them, to create the fancy fold section
**Now do the "twist" motion to create the fold. Make sure the fold lines up with the scoreline of the card base to ensure that it is parallel, the crease and burnish the folds. You can glue that panel down the front panel, we did.
Now to decorate!
Inside card base mats:
~ 1 piece cut to 4x 5 1/4"
~ 1 piece cut to 3 x 4 1/4"
Front panel mats:
~1 piece cut to 2 3/4 x 2 3/4:
~1 piece cut to 1/2 x 2 3/4"
We used the stickers and cut apart from the paper collection to decorate the card.
Supplies used:
Christmas by Carta Bella paper collection
Scotty ( aka Scotch Foam Tape )
