Maymay's Pictorial Design Team Mintay Mystery Cards

Hey y’all, this is Kim from @kgdcreative. If you remember, a few days ago, Maymay posted a video of some mystery cards using a Mintay paper pack. I had a Mintay paper pack sitting on my desk…not sure what to do with it. Boom…Mystery cards from the Mintay Florabella paper pack. I think these turned out really well and can be used for many different occasions.

Materials:

Mintay 12” X 12” Florabella

Grey cardstock

Heavy white cardstock

Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke

Versa Fine Clair Ink – Nocturne

Fiskars Stamp Block Set

Ink blending tool

Paper trimmer

Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue

Scotch Double Sided Foam Mounting Tape

Sorry Stamp Set

With Sympathy Stamp Set 

Edge Punch

Ribbon

Cutter Bee Scissors

 

Cut Guide:

Heavy white cardstock cut into:

6 card bases, cut 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored in half at 4 ¼”

Mintay paper:

Large Estate Home Piece - Cut 6 pieces to 5pieces to 4” x 5 ¼”

Fussy cut the images on the back of the cover

Grey Cardstock:

Cut two pieces 1 ½” x 4”

Cut one piece 2” x 12”

 

 

Card #1

1. Ink the edges of the first piece of the Mintay paper (the portion with the horse) with the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.

2. Ink the edges of the grey cardstock that is cut 1 ½” x 4 with the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and adhere to the card front about 2 ½” from the bottom using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.

3. Ink the edges of a clock image that has been fussy cut from the back of the cover with the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.

4. Adhere the clock to the left side of the grey strip using Scotch Double Sided Foam Mounting Tape.

5. From the “Sorry” stamp set, stamp the sentiment “Sorry” on the left side of the grey strip using Versa Fine Clair Nocturne Ink.

6. Adhere the card front to a card base.

Card #2

1. Using an edge punch of your choice, punch along one side of the grey cardstock that is cut 2” x 12”. Trim to 4” and adhere to the card front of the piece with large words about 3” from the bottom of the card front using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.

2. From the “With Sympathy” stamp set, stamp “Thinking of You” along the top of the grey strip using Versa Fine Clair Nocturne Ink.

3. Adhere one of the hats from the fussy cut page in center just above the grey strip using Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape.

4. Adhere the card front to the card base using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.

 Card #3

1. Ink the edges of the card front with words on the left side and flowers on the right side using the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.

2. Take remaining portion of grey cardstock that has been punched with the edge punch and ink those edges. Trim to 5 ¼” long.

3. Adhere the grey cardstock to vertically card front along the left side.

4. Adhere a piece of matching ribbon along the left side of the grey strip, wrapping around to the back side of the card front.

5. Ink the edges of the boots from the fussy cut page with the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and adhere to the bottom left of the card front using Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape.

6. Tie a bow with the same ribbon you adhered to the left side of the grey cardstock strip and adhere just above the cowboy boots.

7. Adhere the card front to a card base.

 Card #4

1. Ink the edges of the hanging lamp, suitcase, and hat from the fussy cut page with the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.

2. Using Scotch Double Sided Foam Mounting Tape, adhere the hanging lamp to the top left corner and the suitcase to the bottom right corner of the card front. Using the same mounting tape, adhere the hat tilted on the left side of the suitcase.

3. Adhere the card front to the card base.

Card #5

1. Using Cutter Bee Scissors, distress the edges of the card front portion with the large estate home.

2. Ink the edges of the card front with the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.

3. Ink the edges of the invitation image from the fussy cut page with the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. Adhere it to the card front at the top left section.

4. Adhere to the card front to the card base.

 Card #6

1. From the “With Sympathy” stamp set, stamp “Thinking of You” on the right side of the last 1 ½” x 4” piece of grey cardstock.

2. Adhere to the top of the card front about 1” from the top of the card front.

3. Using Scotch Double Sided Foam Mounting Tape, adhere one of the flowers on the bottom left edge of the grey cardstock strip.

4. Adhere the card front to a card base.
