Maymay's 2021 DT Spring/Summer DT Brenda Coone Shaker Card

Hello, this is Brenda R. Coone, @mscraftprincess.  Today, I have a shaker card.  I love snow globes, and shaker cards remind me of them.  When I saw the "Snow Buddies" stamp set, I knew what type of card I wanted to make.

This is an easy card to make and I hope you will give it a try.  And I finally own my own "Scotty" roll

Cutting Guide:

Cut the card base to 5 1/2” x 8 ½”

Cut the patterned paper at 4” x 5 ¼”

Cut the scrap of black cardstock at 3 ½”

Cut the scrap of white cardstock at ½” x 3”

Assembly instructions:

1.  Score card base on the 8 ½” side at 4 ¼” and fold.  This forms the A2 size card base.

2. Stamp the images from the Snow Buddies stamp set, and color them with Nuvo alcohol markers.

3. Fussy cut the snow globe image and cut off the base.

4. Take 2 circle dies and cut a frame from the green cardstock.

5. Cut a circle from the acetate using a circle die.

6. Glue the green frame to the acetate.

7. Trim foam tape to the appropriate width and place it around the edge of the green circle and acetate sandwich.

8. Add the shaker elements and glue the portion of the globe with the colored images on top.

9. Distress the edge of the Christmas patterned paper with the vintage photo distress ink.  This just gives a vintage type look to the paper.   Glue the card front to the card base.

10. Glue the shaker piece to the card front, stamp the sentiment from the Just Believe stamp set on white scrap paper and glue it to the black scrap paper.  Add scotty to the back of this layered piece to add dimension and adhere it to the card base.

11.  Insert your sentiment of choice inside and send this adorable card to someone special.
