I really like adding doilies to cards. I think it makes it a little elegant. Corner rounding makes it look finished. And of course, we all know Christmas trees are my favorite. 😉
Supply List:
MMI Memory Lane stamp set
MMI Winter Wonderland stamp set
White cardstock cut & scored to A2 Card base + 2 1/8x3/4" sentiment strip
Decorative paper 4x5.25" mat + 3x3" scrap
Paper Doily 4"
Twine 8-9"
Crystal Stickles
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Acrylic block
Art Glitter Glue
Foam squares
Cricut Trimmer
EK Tools Scoreboard & Bone Folder
Fiskars Score Tool
Cutterbee Scissors
Paper Studio Tree Punch
Cropadile Corner Chomper
Red Sharpie
1. Cut & score cardstock as listed above
2. Corner round 2 open edge corners of card base & decorative mat
3. Use AGG & adhere doily to top left corner of mat
Trim overhang from edges & adhere to front of card base
4. Stamp sentiment on small strip & stamp inside sentiments
5. Punch out tree from scrap paper
6. Add foam squares to back of tree & sentiment strip & mount on doily & mat
7. Tie twine into bow & glue to tree
8. Use Sharpie to add signature to back of card base
9. Add random dots of Stickles to mat & sentiment strip
*If you don't have a tree punch, you can stamp 1 & fussy cut or cut from decorative paper or use a pretty sticker
*We cut 8.5x11" cardstock in half to create A2 card base; so why not make 2? All our supplies are out anyway, right? Simple & easy 2 for 1! 😊 -Rhon
