Celebration of Life~Edna Gillenwater
Hello Friends,
This is the hardest thing I have ever had to announce to you. On Tuesday my precious mother went to be with her Lord and Savior. My mom was the most amazing woman I know and anyone you talk to will tell you the same about her. She taught me so much, she taught me to trust Jesus with everything. I am doing that, it is with much pain, sadness, fear, anger, love and joy. Mom taught me to feel all of those emotions and how to work through them. With God, through prayer. Mom would tell me just how beautiful Heaven is and what a wonderful reward we have before us.

Mom said to me a month ago, before she was sick “do you think it is strange that most people dread dying but that I just can’t wait to run to the arms of Jesus?” I told her no, that is exactly what I would think she wants. It is what I pray we all want.

Mom would want you to know Jesus as your personal Saviour. If you have never asked Jesus to be the Lord of you life and accepted Him and what He did for you on Calvary please don’t wait another moment to do that.

Those of you that know my mom or have come to know her through our channel, I have so much I want to say to you, to hopefully lift you up during what I know will be a difficult time for you. I will share that with you all soon.
For now, do what mom would do…. Philippians 4:8-9 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in Me- practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”

I will be back with you as soon as I can. I am taking some time to process this and to spend time with family reflecting on the wonderful gift that was my mom.
I won’t be away long, I can’t be, you are part of my support system and I will need you all in the days and weeks to come. Till then, you will see videos that were pre filmed and our schedule will run as usual except for this weeks devotion.
The staff is there for you, they are amazing, I do not know what we would do without them.

Please pray for our family. I would also like to add that my family’s church has established a Edna Gillenwater Legacy Children’s Ministry Fund. This is in lieu of flowers. Mom would want her ministry extended more than she would want flowers. “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8 If you would like to give to that fund I will share a link. Do not feel obligated, I just know you guys, many of you will want to do something and this is the absolute best for her.

We love you and we love how you love us!
Maymay, Vince and Family
