Hey Guys,
I planned to do today’s heART video as a live video this morning but I’ve woken up feeling quite puny! So instead I’m going to write a blog post for you. I pray you’ll understand and I’m so sorry, I was really excited to speak on this subject with you but hopefully typing it will work.
So yesterday I had the privilege of spending some time with some sweet sisters in Christ as my friend Lisa and her mom held a brunch for us. It was so lovely!
The thing that I valued most was our time sharing what God had done in our lives and encouraging each other that He was still gonna do great works in us and for us.
The thing that saddened me the most was how often we said to each other “we really need to do this more often, but I know how busy we are.”
That really struck a cord with me, I don’t want to be too busy to not enjoy the friends and fellowship and spiritual uplifting that we all shared yesterday.
Busy, busy, busy....then I started to think of my to do list. I have a list a mile long, always! Just when I check something off, something else gets added. Now don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with lists, I actually enjoy being able to take things out of my brain and file them on my list to remember. It clears up much needed space!!
But, I thought about this, where is God on my list? What does He think of my list and what work for the kingdom is done on my list?
I want to be sure that I don’t schedule Him or the things He desires for me to be out of my list!
When you sit down to make your next to do list, concously add Him to it. Write down your quite time with Him as a “must do daily.” List going to church and fellowshipping with other believers as a to do not a “wish I could do.” For even better results, pray over your list of to do’s and let God be your editor.
I pray this makes sense, it was so on my heart after yesterday. I know I’m not the only person out there that struggles with fitting it all in. I just want to do my best to fit all of God in and let Him help with the rest.
