You Heard It From My Two Lips DT Project by Jessica Francisco

Hey friends!

It's Jess and I'm excited to share another card with you today. This card features the stamp set 'Maymay's Two Lips' and is a great one to have on hand when you just need to let someone know how much you miss them!

To get started, I stamped out my background using two of the lip or mouth images from the stamp set. I stamped these on white card stock in Raven Detail Ink from Brutus Monroe. You guys know how much I love stamping out my own backgrounds!

No photo description available.

Next, I grabbed some black card stock and my Mini MISTI. I treated my card stock with the Anti-Static Powder Tool and used Embossing Ink to stamp out the speech bubble and the sentiment 'sure am missing you.' I heat set the Alabaster Embossing Powder and adhered the panel to my stamped background. I trimmed off the excess up top, so it looks like I have one card panel.

No photo description available.I decided to go ahead and color all of the lips with Copic markers. To give them a little interest, I coated them all with a healthy dose of Wink of Stella as well. Nothing like a good shimmery lip gloss, am I right?

No photo description available.I went back in with my Embossing Ink to add the sentiment 'you heard it from my two lips' in the same Alabaster Embossing Powder. I added in some gel pen accents around the edges of my black panel and added a sheer red bow with polka dots at the top.

No photo description available. To finish off the card, I popped it up on white foam tape from Brutus Monroe. I hope you love today's project! Let me know in the comments - what's your favorite way to use smaller stamps in your projects?

This is a really cute card. I like how you made the top half of the card as the conversation block. I have this set but have yet to use it. I may have to borrow your design and try it out. Thanks for sharing…Mary T.
