Hello to everyone out there in Made It Land!

It's Jess and I'm thrilled to be back with another card tutorial for you today. This project was a lot of fun to create - I hope you'll enjoy it, too! Let's get started.

No photo description available.

I used Brutus Monroe Raven Detail Ink to stamp out my background using various images from Power Flowers. You guys know how much I love to create my own backgrounds, so this card came together like a dream.

I used three Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves, and Twisted Citron) for my card. To start off, I used a water brush to paint on some color for the center flower. I colored in the leaf images this way as well. I wanted at least one of my images to be cleanly colored. For the rest- mess is best!

Next, I used the plastic backing sheet from the stamp set and smooshed the Distress Oxide inks directly on to it. I sprayed this with water and then used another small piece of plastic to pick up the ink. I used the small piece of plastic to apply the ink to my background and repeated this until I was happy with the results.

For the sentiment, I cut a strip of black card stock and used my Mini MISTI to stamp out 'you are the best friend ever' from Maymay's Two Lips. I stamped with Embossing Ink from Brutus Monroe and then coated it with Alabaster Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. I melted it with my heat tool and adhered it to my card front.

To finish things off, I added a few coordinating sequins and popped the whole card front up on foam tape from Brutus Monroe. I love the way this card turned out. Leave a comment down below and let me know what you think!

Hugs and love,
Jess
