Santa Quilt Card

Santa Claus is Coming! Join me as I show you how to make this cute “9 Patch Quilt” card. I grew up in a family who made quilts. My mom, aunts, and grandmother all made such beautiful quilts. I love making quilt inspired cards as it reminds me of them. I used a sentiment from the Celebrate the Season Stamp Set. I used paper from the Mad 4 Plaid Christmas 6x6 paper pad. Christmas is a time for memories and this card brought those back.

Supplies:

Maymay Made It Celebrate the Season Clear Stamp Set

Mad 4 Plaid 6x6 Paper Pad

Art Glitter Glue

Measurements:

Card Dimensions – 5” Square

Card Base – 4x10” scored at 5”

2 Gold Mats -  4 ¾” Square

2 White Mats  -  4 ½ “ Square

9  - 1 ½ “ squares

Arrange the small squares into a 9 patch pattern on one of the white mats, alternating patterns. Layer the “quilt” onto a gold mat, and then onto the card base. Stamp and emboss the sentiment on the second white mat. Layer it on the remaining gold mat, then to the inside of the card. Cut a Santa from the sentiments page and place on the inside for decoration. Use a 1 ½ “ scallop circle punch and cut out the Happy Holidays sentiment. Place a piece of holiday ribbon on the card. Then place the sentiment with foam squares on the ribbon.
