IG DT project created by Maranda Mathis

Today's project is a great DIY gift idea that is inexpensive yet unique! What is it?? It's a DIY Wallet/Credit Card Holder that also doubles as a checkbook cover!!

Step 1: Cut a piece of cardstock to 7.5" x 7" and score vertically at 3.5 and at 4" (with the long side at the bottom facing you) for the outer case.

Step 2: For the credit card slots, you need three panels cut at 3.5" x 2.5" and scored vertically at 0.50" and at 3" (with long side at the bottom facing you).

Step 3: Now, let's construct the $ bill/checkbook holder slot. Cut a piece of cardstock at 8" x 3.25" and score a half inch in vertically on both sides (with long side at the bottom facing you). Once folded, cut away bottom two squares. Punch a thumb tab in the top of the slot.

Step 4: Now it's time to assemble everything. Before assembling, place your ribbons on the inside flaps of the case (one on each side, centered). To assemble your carde slots, mark 1.25" down from the top of each panel and mark with a pencil. This will show you how far to space your panels apart when adhering down. Place double-sided adhesive on the two flaps and bottom and adhere top panel in place first. The rest will be built upon that one. It's also helpful to pencil in some vertical guidelines so you line everything up in the center of the inner flap of the case properly. After this, you can adhere your bill/checkbook slot down on the other inside flap.

Step 5: Embellish as you choose. And that's it... you're done!
