Froebel Star Ornament with Scrapbook Paper

The Froebel Star is a German traditional folded ornament use throughout the Advent season. This star is definitely a show stopper whether on your tree or a wreath.  And made from a few strips of paper!!!! It would also be a perfect package topper. So gather up those supplies and let's create!

Supplies needed:

Scrapbook paper or cardstock

Scoreboard

Stylus tool

Bone folder

**Trimmer**

Christmas Washi tape

Scissors

Twine or string

Beads or charms

Spools

Measurements:

~You will need 2 pieces of 12 x 12 scrapbook paper or cardstock in different colors to make this project ( I will use red and green for the instructions/measurements)

~We will need to make 24 inch strips by cutting:

4~ 1 x 12 inch red strips

4~ 1 x 12 inch green strips

for a total of 8 strips

~Take 2 strips of each color and score each strip on one end at 1/4 inch, then take a strip that is not scored and glue to the scored section of the other strip( see the video for correct placement)

~ After this you will now have a total of 4 strips: 2 in each color. This will the starting point for the folding.

Please refer to the video for instructions on the folding of the star.

Omg…I absolutely love this! I wish I had seen it months ago so I could have made a bunch of them for gift toppers. There is always next year though.
You are such a genius making your own needles. All of your little tips are so helpful.
As always – thank you for your tutorial – everything you create you show so clearly. Others binge watch television shows….I binge watch MayMay😊

Your instructions for making this is so good. Thank you. I can’t wait to try this when I get some Christmas paper. You’re a great teacher.
