Open Center Box Card Inspired by Nyoka's Tea Light Card

Today we are making a fabulous open box card that was inspired by our very own Nyoka. So gather up those supplies and let's create.

Supplies used:

Fashionista Paper Collection

Princess Once Upon a Time Paper Collection

Premium Trio Cardstock

Cricut Trimmer

EK Tools Standard Scoreboard

Embossing Stylus tool

Bone Folder

Sticky Tape

Art Glitter Glue

TH Shears

Versafine inks

Measurements:

Base:

~1 piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock

Scoring on the 11-inch side at 2 3/4, 5 1/2, 8 1/4 then turn once and score at 4 1/4

You will cut out the openings with dies, see the video for this instruction

Bar pieces:

Cut cardstock to 3 3/4 x 3, then you will score 1/2 inch on each end. After this, you will need to cut them to measure 3/4.

Thanks for this awesome tutorial! I wish I had thought of this, making this kind of card, I always mess it up becuause of the sticking 2 pieces together, I never seem to line it up right, but doing this with just 1 sheet …. WOW! How super easy that makes it! LOVE the twist you made with it, again, wish I had thought of that! You have shown that the possibilities for this type of card, are endless, thanks so much for the inspiration! LOVE LOVE it! xx

Love this card and how easy you make it! I have already made a prototype for 8 1/2 × 11 and 12×12 for Valentine’s cards with a heart for the opening. You definitely got me inspired, thank you!
