Blog Design Team Color Throw Down Challenge Alcohol Marker Background Card

Hey my crafty friends, I hope all of you are having a fabulous day. Today I will be making yet another challenge card. As you know,  the challenge for this month is using the colors orange, brown and pink and I've been having a blast creating these cards, so lets begin.

I started with a new stamp set from Maymay Made It, it is called friendly faces and I love that it has a variety of faces and the faces are just simply adorable.

To create this card, I stamped the sun image onto purple tape (you can use masking tape, I didn't have masking tape so I decided to use what I had) I fussy cut the sun out.

I recently bought  nuvo alcohol markers and I am so impressed by them. I love the colors. I started by using the lightest color to color the whole background. I then took the cut out of the sun and placed it where I thought it would look the best. I then went with the second lightest color ( the medium shade) and colored just past the sun. I absolutely love how these markers blend.

I then removed the sun masking tape and stamped the sun image on top of the silhouette of the sun using memento Ink.

I then took a scrap paper and tore the paper in a very random pattern. I used that torn paper and some ink to create hills.

I also took the stamp set Memory Lane from Maymay Made It and stamped varies sizes of trees in first generation stamping and second generation stamping.

I put this background onto an A2 size card base and popped my sentiment up using foam squares. That completes the card! For a more detailed instruction, don’t forget to watch my youtube tutorial! See you all soon!
