Tater Girl with the Pink Glasses

I remember the days of my childhood playing with Mr Potato Head. I used to spend hours making up different faces and characters. So when I received this nostalgic little stamp set, I promptly  knew that homemade valentines were in order for my grandson's class. I had decided that Austin and I would design a girl, a boy and one for the teachers. After making the girl one I posted it on Facebook. Well, all great plans change. After joining the design team I have design 3 other cards as well and I am working on some others using this stamp set and combining it with some others by Maymay. Enough with the chatter let's get crafting!!

supplies:

Tators stamp set by Maymaymadeit

2 pieces of Crumb Cake card stock  -1 piece 3"x6" scored at 3" this will be your card base -2nd piece 2-1/2"x 2-1/2" this is your stamping canvas

I piece of Blushing Bride card stock - 3"x3" this is what you will used to cut your die out of.

A scrap piece of any small print soft pink paper- I don't remember where I bought my polka dots from. You could just use Rose Red card stock  and add white dots with a white gel pen.

2 small embellishments for glasses bling

Early Expresso ink

Melon Mambo ink

heart punch

dimensionals

Lunch Box Notes paper craft die set (by Simon Says Stamp!)

Art Glitter Glue - best glue ever!

Fine metal glue tip- a must

acrylic blocks- mount your stamps on

Using Early Expresso stamp a potato on the right side of your 2-1/2 square piece of Crumb Cake making sure that there is enough room for your sentiment on the bottom left side.  Stamp" I Dig You" on the bottom left side.  Continuing with the early expresso stamp the arms and legs. They will stamp off of the paper.

With melon mambo stamp the girl's glasses and add a bow on top of the head.

Now go back with the early expresso and stamp the eyes and the mouth.

Add bling to the glasses.

Punch out 3 hearts using the small pink design paper.

Using the glitter glue attach the stamped paper to the pink die cut paper centering it. Now prop up it up on dimensionals on the card base. add the small hearts with more dimensionals on the top left corner. Add your own message inside!!!

Now you have a cute card that will win any girl's heart!
