Motorcycle Upcycled Card by Crystal Cleveland

Posted by Crystal Cleveland on

Here's a card for that motorcyclist enthusiast and it's an upcycled card as well.

materials needed:

real red card stock 4.25 x 10.5" scored at 5.5"(this is what's known as a hot dog card)

2" star from red card stock

3 - 1 1/2"x 1 1/2"  white card stock

Black card stock

bitty star punch

Wings stamp set by Maymaymadeit

motorcycle stamp

Versafine black ink

2 different embossing folders I used gears and tire tracks

Emboss the front of the red card stock I used gears.

Cut a 2 " star out of red card stock and stamp Spread Your wings from the wings stamp set. I inked up just the words Spread Your and then cleaned the stamp real good and inked up the word wings and stamped it under the other words. Glue the star to a piece of black card stock and cut out a border around 1/8" I just eyeballed it. Add foam tape to the back and set aside.

Using the white 1 1/2'' squares stamp up the motorcycle and you want one square to center on the front wheel, one to center on the back wheel and the last on to center on the body of the cycle include the handle bars and seat.

Here's the stamp I used.

Stamp them and color in the fenders and the gas tank in red ink. Glue these pieces to the black card stock as well and cut 1/8" border and add foam tape and set aside.

NOW FOR THE SECRET MATERIAL:  The powdered cheese package that comes in Macaroni and cheese mix!! Yes folks mac and cheese!! I cut it open one day and saw the foil liner inside, I said "yes". Make your family the mac and cheese first, then carefully cut the foil package open. I wiped it out using a baby wipe.

Using your paper trimmer straighten up the sides of the foil and cut it at  2" x 5" then run it through the embossing folder ( I used tire tracks).  Glue the mac and cheese foil to black card stock and cut out 1/8" border attach it to the left side of the red card stock.

Using the bitty star punch,  punch out 3 stars from the remaining foil.

Use the picture for placement of the pieces.

Congrats to Amanda Mackey Stiltner for guessing the correct secret material.

Thanks for viewing!!
